What is an AI agent, in plain English?
A regular ChatGPT chat works from the context available to that conversation. Memory or a Project can retain some context when set up, but a chat reply does not automatically complete the next step in your business workflow. An agent configured with the right tools and permissions can carry a defined task through those steps. I will show one real workflow on screen, because that difference is easier to see than to explain.
What kind of jobs can it actually do?
Real ones from my own week. Receipts photographed and filed straight into my accounting software. A full meeting brief pulled out of WhatsApp, email and Drive in 12 minutes while I was driving. One video edited and posted to 5 platforms. A finished website in 3 minutes from one line of instruction. None of those are demos โ they ran this month. The pattern is simple: if the job repeats and follows a rule you could explain to a new staff member, an agent can hold it.
Is this just ChatGPT with extra steps?
ChatGPT can use memory, Projects and connected tools, depending on how it is set up. Here I am comparing a regular chat, where you still move the answer into your process, with an agent configured to carry one defined task through connected tools. I will show the workflow on screen.
Will this work for my kind of business?
If your week has jobs that repeat, yes. A car rental owner chasing deposit returns. A clinic sending the same three reminders. A contractor turning site photos into a progress report. A retailer posting the same product to four platforms. I am showing you the pattern, not one industry. Bring the job you hate most and see whether it fits โ you will know by the second demo.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can install an app and copy-paste, you can follow this. I will go slowly on purpose. I did not get it either at the start โ I was typing into ChatGPT at 4am and calling it productivity.
I tried AI before and gave up. Why would this be different?
Maybe your process was the one I used to have: ask a question, copy the answer elsewhere, then repeat the same steps next time. That can help with a single task, but it does not automate the whole workflow. An agent can handle specific repeatable steps after you configure its instructions, tools and permissions; it still needs review and upkeep. The class shows that practical difference.
Will this take away my job?
That is the wrong worry. An agent does not replace you. It takes the boring half of your work โ the typing, the sorting, the chasing. You keep the half that needs a human. An accountant asked me this last class, and that was my answer.
Can I still use my computer while it runs?
Yes. Mine was running during the last class while I was on Zoom. You will sometimes see the mouse move on its own. That is it.
What do I actually leave with?
Not a finished agent. Two hours is not enough for that and I will not pretend otherwise. You leave with three things: you have seen the real thing work, so you stop wondering whether this is hype; you know which single job in your week to hand over first; and you know what it takes, so you can decide properly instead of guessing. If you only take the second one home, the evening paid for itself.
Do I need to buy a new computer?
No. An old laptop is fine. Mine run on a MacBook Air my daughter had finished with. I will go through exactly what matters on the night so you do not buy anything you do not need.
What does it cost to run one of these?
Less than you think, and there is nothing to buy to attend. I will put the actual monthly bill on screen during the class so you can see it rather than take my word for it.
What if something comes up that night?
Then you miss that one, because there is no replay. I run it again every few weeks, so you can take the next date. But block the time the moment you register and treat it like an appointment with a good client.
Can I use it in Malay or Chinese?
Yes. You can talk to your agent in any language you like. This class itself is taught in English.
